WUC
was established in 1927, and is a self-sufficient, not-for-profit
organization. The
organization schedules special events during the school year,
sponsors auxiliary groups that meet regularly, and organizes
projects to raise funds for three scholarships. If you have any questions about what the Syracuse area has to offer, please email wuc@syr.edu (please put WUC Newcomers in the subject box).
"When
I moved to Syracuse a few years back, a Newcomers folder
was
my motivation to get out in the neighborhood and beyond.
I joined the playgroup, then the Luncheon with Friends, and
I'm still discovering new things. There is just so much
to do in Onondaga County." -Jacki
Philippon, former chair, Newcomers committee
