WUC had a unique opportunity to visit SU Holden Observatory built in 1887.
Volunteers meet at Martin Luther King, Jr. School to work one-to-one with a first and a second grade child between noon and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Each volunteer reads to two students. Volunteers typically work one day per week. Tutors work with the same students throughout the year so that it becomes a mentoring program.
