Women
of the University Community is an inclusive organization established
at Syracuse University in 1927. We are here to offer you friendship,
fellowship, interest groups, and information about the Syracuse
community.
The organization schedules special events during the school year, sponsors interest groups that meet regularly, and organizes projects to raise funds for scholarships.
The
Mildred Eggers award is presented to students in Continuing Education
studying part time at University College, the Ruth Tolley award
is presented to outstanding juniors in the College of Human Services
and Health Professions, and the Beverly Whaley scholarship to
a sophmore or junior at the SUNY College of Environmental Science
and Forestry.
The
organization is open to those from Syracuse University, SUNY College
of Environmental Science and Forestry, and SUNY Upstate Medical
University who are current or retired faculty, staff, or trustees,
and their spouses or widows, and to enrolled graduate students
and their spouses.
Women
not eligible for membership may participate in interest groups
as associate members. (Only paid members and newcomers will receive
mailings)

GOVERNMENT is under a constitution by a Board of Directors, elected to two year terms. Every effort is made to secure a wide representation of the membership.
